I have batman arkham asylum installed on my home computer and I want to install it on my laptop, but I no longer have the code as it was stuck onto the plastic wrapper of the game, which I have since thrown away. is it possible to retrieve a game's code
from the already installed information?

Do you have the ability to remove your hard drive from the console and use another storage device like a USB Flash Drive to see if you can download your profile onto that without this pesky error code?

error code 0x87E00064, installation keeps stopping

I'm trying to install forza horizon 3 but the installation keeps stopping at 3% and showing a 0x87E00064 error code. I've tried resetting the xbox, clearing the saved games cache, and installing offline but I'm getting the same error code. I tried installing
a different game and it installed without any problems. I've also inserted the disk on another xbox and I got the same error code on the other console.

The advantage is to have your game installed onto the hard drive. But to stop it so that it can't be installed onto many other devices it would need to have a 24 hour check in. So its to verify that the game isn't or has been installed on another console.

Have you been onto your xbox and searched for it in the store and got it to download that way? As it's probably redeemed the code but not set it to install on the device

I unplug the external hard drive and did a power cycle and then installed a game without it plugged in and plug in, without it plug in it preformed as normal but when I plugged it in and installed a game i was unable to load onto any game but after about 1 minutes my games appeared, the game started installing and I can load onto games but I think this issue will still occur every time I install a game

Hey there Divine - unfortunately this error code indicates an issue with your storage device, as you've discovered. Have you tried your USB drives in another console? We'd be interested to see if the profile can be downloaded without the hard drive installed,
which would require a USB Flash Drive that is configured as an Xbox 360 Storage Device.
