Installing a game and the percentage will only move up if I pause and then resume??

Ok so today I went and bought GTA 5 and im currently trying to install it but for some reason the percentage won't move up on its own, it will only move up if I pause the installation and then resume it.

For example it was stuck on 1% for like 15 minutes yet when I paused it and resumed it it shot right up to 24%??

Never had this happen when installing anything before. Just wondaring if anyone else has experienced this problem and can tell me what could be causing it? I'm installing from a disc and it's also downloading an update.

Connection problem

Hi,

For the past few days my Xbox has been having downloading issues with updates and games. It will only download in short bursts and then just stop. I pause and restart the download and it will say installing and not do anything, occassionally starting the
download up again, it will also randomly pause the download at times. It also affects my ability to play games, I cannot load a game or app if something is trying to download. I’ve checked my internet on most of the devices in my house, the speeds and connection
are fine, any help is appreciated.

To pause an installation, press the start button (The one with the lines) on the game you want to pause installing, from there, select pause installstion.

Yes, the games will resume installing once the Xbox is turned on and is connected to WiFi.

I don't know about the 3rd one, you should read other replys or look it up.

Appear offline when installing a disc and download the update later that will speed things up

 

It's still downloading had this on loads of games.. jumping from 85, 75 % to ready to play. if your Xbox goes to sleep seems like the % stops increasing. Just let it do its thing, it Will get there in the end..
