    Hello i am trying to install the resident evil 7 grotesque edition from game pass on pc but I am receiving an error of 0x80242020 even though I have my region set to Japan so I would think I'd be able to just download the game fine. I have already repaired the xbox app and game services app so i don't see how else I can install the game.

    Because you have a game pass subscription. If you were physically in Japan, you could download it just as if you were physically in Japan you would have a completely different selection on Netflix

    Ok now the game all of a sudden is downloading after I put my region back to normal, hopefully any region change does allow the game to run though.

    You may not access titles not licensed for the region you are physically in, which includes Japan only editions of games that are otherwise available to you.

    Different regions must have different builds then, as in the UK it's shown as Iron Brigade and has a title update already installed with the game.
