Installed Games don't work?

So I've been a Xbox fan boy since way back on the original xbox, and I've had minimal issues until recently. I purchased GTA V, however the mandatory install disc would not install. The last 2 parts of the install were always corrupted, so I had to uninstall
and retry but to no avail. I Swapped the disc for another one at game stop, but alas nothing. It installed fine at my girlfriends house, I even tried transfering the files onto my xbox that way. It worked for about 6 hours of gameplay but sure enough everything
was corrupted in the end.

Basically my GTA has been a paperweight as after about 10 hours of wasted time and forum browsing I found no answers. Today, I bought Halo 4 and installed the 2nd disc with the multiplayer content. They have become corrupted. Now when I put the play disc
in, The 300mb update will give me an error code at the end:

40A3 - 0000 - D080 - 0200 - 8007 - 0570

I searched the error status code search engine and Sure enough the code doesn't match any error codes. I also used to get these for GTA 5, or it just would go black.

I am using a 16gb usb as a storage device to install these games onto, but I doubt that is the issue because my 8 year old xbox hard drive can't install them either (I use the usb because the hard drive is too slow in it's old age) If anyone can offer any
answers I would be very greatful, If I NEED to buy another console it will deffinitely be a PS4.

Games installed in a language I don't speak

Hope you can help. Below copy and paste of chat with Microsoft Support but chat was disrupted "at some stage".

i have this strange problem. i bought a lot of games recently but two are not installed in a language that i don't speak. COD:Ghosts was installed in Polish, COD:Advanced Warfare was installed in Russian. All my xbox settings are set in English (UK),
location is set in Poland (because we live here and our credit card is with a Polish bank).

is Polish.

Me: I believe that is not correct as Advanced Warfare came in a bundle with Modern Warfare and one of them is in English, the other in Russian (a language that is NOT spoken in Poland)

Installed Games

Well.. if your Xbox is broken or has problems, you can submit a online repair request here:

support.xbox.com/.../repair-process

 

take your flash drive out put it in a PC format it to NTFS, then put it back into your console and re-format it so that it can be used in xbox. then clean all the caches and cookies from your main hard drive.

Then try to install GTA 5, hope this works.

Btw installing a game into a flashdrive is a bit risky, cause after sometime the game will definitely corrupt, so my recommendation is to get an original xbox 360 hard drive if you can...

(P.S am speaking with personal experience)

 

Installing to a flash drive will not "definitely corrupt" anything. Flash memory is more volatile than platter based storage but as long as it's properly maintained and isn't re-written countless times it will hold the data just fine.
