Installed game not starting

I downloaded Sea of Thieves while using the game pass. I played it and really enjoyed it so I decided to buy it. When I bought it, Microsoft store showed that I had to install to play it, but it's already installed and Xbox beta says its ready to play.
However, when I tried to play it, it doesn't start anything. Is there a way to fix this without re-installing the game?

I had the same issue before when using game disc. It would be best to try doing a reset factory default on your console. That usually helps fix everything. If not, you might want to go with checking your warranty options.

Games can be "flagged" as being in a certain status like trials or game downloaded via game pass expire when they are removed from game pass. Did you try just clicking on install game to see what it does like just validate the install. Worst case is
that you may have to remove the game and reinstall it to convert it from the game pass game to the purchased game even though its the same thing.
