Installation Stopped

Firstly I would like to mention that I am a part of the preview program however this issue has been present for several months now so I doubt that has any cause to the issue.

With many games, apps and DLC that I try to download on my external hard drive I encounter an issue where it doesn't even show a percentage and instantly says installation stopped, in the Division for instance the game downloaded fine, first DLC fine then
the second won't install no matter how many restarts, cancels and more I do. Then recently World of Tanks, I attempted to move the game from the internal to external drive and it too displays the issue (this one can't possibly have any relation to internet
connection). I am completely out of ideas now, even changed the option to shut down the hard drive automatically due to it having its own power source, no luck. A fast response would be great as this has been a frustration losing out on content I paid for
for months.

Halo 3 ODST "installation stopped" at 100% for many people

nothing, 100% installation and nothing, installation stopped....

 

Installation Stopped on Elder Srolls Online Xbox one

it always says "Installation Stopped" and when i press "Resume Installation" it tries and boots up for about 10 seconds and then stops again with the "Installation Stopped" message popping back up

 

Try clearing the System Cache, not saying this will fix the issue at hand, but it has been known to fix some issues out there.

Also unplugging the power to your Xbox for roughly 15 - 30 seconds, and plugging it back in also has had some positive outcomes in issues.

I am sorry that you're experiencing this issue. However, I would suggest performing a Power Cycle to your Xbox One. You can view more information on performing a Power Cycle here:

Once again no luck on either front, I am on the most up to date version with the preview program as well, beginning to think it could be the hard drive itself, anyone know of any other reports of this on WD MyBooks?
