Installation stopped

Hi.

I have recently bought the Xbox One X and I have installed several of my games onto it.

However, I am having an issue attempting to install Forza 7.

I bought the game new when it was released and it installed with no issues on my previous Xbox, a One S. The game has always been put back into it's case following use and the disc surface is scratch and mark free.

When attempting to install the game from the disc it gets to 3% and then installation stops. One the last three occasions the installation has stopped at 1.53Gb, 1.55Gb and 1.63Gb.

I have also cleared the cache by a method found online by clearing secondary MAC address and by powering off the console by holding the power button for 10 seconds and removing the power lead for at least 10 seconds.

None of these methods has resolved the issue and I am still stuck with the game stopping at 3%.

I am now at a loss as to what to do to get this to install.

Halo 3 ODST "installation stopped" at 100% for many people

nothing, 100% installation and nothing, installation stopped....

Installation Stopped on Elder Srolls Online Xbox one

it always says "Installation Stopped" and when i press "Resume Installation" it tries and boots up for about 10 seconds and then stops again with the "Installation Stopped" message popping back up

I had exactly the same problem copying games off of a backup disk. It would just stop copying. The only way to start it again was to restart the box.

Now I've got the games loaded performance is dreadful. Wolfenstein just keeps freezing, it's unplayable.

It could be that an update is causing the installation to stop. Try taking the console offline for the duration of the disc install to see if that helps (delete the current install before you try this)

Did that and also unplugged the power.. it's farther than it's gotten all day so hopefully that's a good sign. Thanks

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps solve the issue?
