Installation stopped

Every single time I'm downloading a large update, my Xbox will get part way through the installation and just stop. No warning, no notification, no reason. I'll go check in the queue and see my download just sitting there and "installation stopped". A restart of the Xbox seems to resume the update, but this is extremely frustrating as I can never count on my system to keep games updated. I have to babysit anything larger than 3-4 GB or there's a 100% chance the game will not be ready to play. I can never update things overnight as the download won't complete and won't restart automatically.

What is going on? I've followed all the usual suggestions. This seems to be an ongoing issue with only bandaid fixes.

I'm on wired internet with all the appropriate power and update settings. I've cleared queues, reinstalled games. What gives?

Digital only series s/x install are different

Uhd files aren't included in series s installs

nope, series s or x only, even pc's way more powerful than the series x still struggle, it would be like stop motion on the original xbox one and s models.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Just making, you set your power options to Sleep mode and/or customize your power settings to keep your games and apps update automatically?

And when you go away from your console while downloading or updating games, do you turn it off manually using your controller? Or you just leave it and do its job?

Does the installation show any error message or it just stops?

By Xbox S, do you mean the Xbox Series S?

And are these games Series S/X optimized games?
