Hi Jashford, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Can you please install the game while the external hard drive is unplugged? Kindly unplug your external hard drive then perform a powercycle and lastly, try to install the game again.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Hi,

Please try a power cycle of your console as this should allow your add-on to install.

1) hold the power button for 10 seconds. The console will fully shut down.

2) wait 60 seconds.

3) disconnect the console from the power outlet.

4) wait 60 seconds.

5) plug the console back in and turn it on. It will take a while to load the dashboard.

6) sign in to your XBL account and try the installation again.

I'm afraid not, I have tried pretty much every troubleshooting advice out there and nothing works. Only thing that would work was connecting to my mobile phone connection via hotspot rather than broadband connection. Which is strange as it's the same broadband
connection I have had for 6 months. I have reset the router to factory settings to make sure I hadn't accidentally changed something but still didn't work. I tried google DNS. I also tried setting my xbox IP as a DMZ which still didn't work. But connected
back to mobile phone via hotspot and instantly starts downloading the update again.

I tried disconnecting my external storage, than performing a full factory reset and tried to install (without reconnecting my external storage) Assassins Creed IV Black Flag and it stopped at the exact same point of 313.65 MB.

It is heartening that someone else is having the same issue i am. I've contacted microsoft support again and apparently its been referred to a tech team but I'm not particularly hopeful about hearing back. It also effects dishonored for me but not the metro
games i dont think. I buy basically all of my games on sale so that could be part of the issue but it also happens with certain game pass games
