    It started about 2 months ago, my “Original” Xbox One wouldn’t download a particular 360 Digital game to my Xbox One. Then weeks later, I tried a different 360 compatible game, and same effect. It would download to a certain Percentage or so many mb/GB
    of the total amount. Well 4 days ago I tried to reinstall my digital copy of GTA5. It would get to roughly 3% or 3.42GB and It would glitch, then say “Installation Stopped”. So I tried to redownload some other Digital games I had deleted to free space. Same
    effect. My Xbox one will download apps or games that are roughly less than 3 or so GB’s in space. But anything past that it glitches and says “Instillation Stopped”

    So, I’ve tried to reset my router, shutdown the Xbox One, cancel download and retry, sign out and back in, I’ve tried using a external hard drive that was formatted, I’ve tried to download something I knew would download to see if that would break the
    cycle, I’ve done a hard reset, I’ve done a partial reset, and I’ve done a full complete reset. Since doing the complete full reset it’s worse. Now all my games are gone, if I try to download them it says “Installation Stopped” and weird enough I have a few
    physical disc like Halo 5, RB4, CoD, etc. I’ve tried to install my disc copy of those games and the Xbox One won’t even install those. It just says 0%, and then says Installation Stopped. So, my Gaming laptop and Ps4 pro both are downloading games just fine.
    So I know Its not a network issue on my end. It has to be something with the software of the Xbox One, or something physical. Not sure. Help!!!!!

    Hi,

    Please try a power cycle of your console as this should allow your add-on to install.

    1) hold the power button for 10 seconds. The console will fully shut down.

    2) wait 60 seconds.

    3) disconnect the console from the power outlet.

    4) wait 60 seconds.

    5) plug the console back in and turn it on. It will take a while to load the dashboard.

    6) sign in to your XBL account and try the installation again.

    I'm afraid not, I have tried pretty much every troubleshooting advice out there and nothing works. Only thing that would work was connecting to my mobile phone connection via hotspot rather than broadband connection. Which is strange as it's the same broadband
    connection I have had for 6 months. I have reset the router to factory settings to make sure I hadn't accidentally changed something but still didn't work. I tried google DNS. I also tried setting my xbox IP as a DMZ which still didn't work. But connected
    back to mobile phone via hotspot and instantly starts downloading the update again.

    I tried disconnecting my external storage, than performing a full factory reset and tried to install (without reconnecting my external storage) Assassins Creed IV Black Flag and it stopped at the exact same point of 313.65 MB.

    It is heartening that someone else is having the same issue i am. I've contacted microsoft support again and apparently its been referred to a tech team but I'm not particularly hopeful about hearing back. It also effects dishonored for me but not the metro
    games i dont think. I buy basically all of my games on sale so that could be part of the issue but it also happens with certain game pass games
