Installation Stopped among other things...

Seems like ever since the March update hit I have been having some strange problems here and there.

But, one of them in particular is driving me nuts. That being, the dreaded Installation Stopped at 100% problem.

I've done everything I can think of, from uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing my mac, unplugging the power, etc...

It started with a digital purchase of devil may cry, then sling tv, and now pure pool.

Every single one stuck at 100% ... So, obviously I'm not buying anything else right now until this is fixed.

All of these were digital.

Any Ideas?

Hey there,

When i put in all the codes on launch day, all the specialisations popped up (but werent unlockable due to not being SR50), but i could still view them.

When the Priority Alpha codes were inputted, and the new update happened, i was no longer able to see the other specialisations, minus the first 2 like standard.I have done the deletions suggested above, in numerous orders, and yet no luck. I am also hesitant
to delete any other files as it could damage my game data.

So im at SR47, and hesitant to play as i want to get what i payed for yet being disappointed like the map pack release botch, and the priority codes going out to people who didnt purchase the LE, and im stuck in a rut waiting for resolution..

I am in same boat. Cannot install anything new. If you know of any others having this issue, they all need to post about it, so the support people can escalate it faster. Its basically a "bug" , that has to do with having installed X amount of games
installed on a console, and it gets to a point where the console just will not let you install anymore. You can delete every game on it, delete your profiles, go offline, and it still will not install anything, and it will still have those Installation Stopped
errors.

We are among the first few to start getting this bug as it did seem to pop up early March. There is definetly a " limit " on how many things can be bought or downloaded to our XBOX Ones. Its obviously a bug, but its a BAD bug. I have been posting about
it for a few days, along with a few others. It is good that you all have mentioned this also, because its going to take a lot of people discussing it, in order for the dashboard team to prioritize it and consider it a problem. I seem to feel they aren't
taking it seriously, and it may be April or May before they look at it. One of the preview dashboard support staff seems to take it seriously, and has mentioned they are aware of it, but that later changed to.. just looking into it. So they may not have
it as a priority. This isn't just a " preview beta dashboard " problem, its in the final March dash. The only temporary solution is to do a factory reset, but that is last resort nuclear option to fix things. Its the only fix known, and its only temporary.
We should not be forced to do a factory reset just to play a new game.

If you have any friends this is happening to, please have them post in the forums, and it wouldn't hurt to call support, and tell them, because the phone support policy is not to escalate an issue until a lot of people are complaining about it. We need
this fixed, else our XBOX 1's are just doorstops.

I am not support, nor do I want to be, but a lot of the support personnel will make things worse due to the nature of this bug. all these installations that stop, are basically corrupt, so if you are getting the installation stopped problem, whatever you
do, do not let support talk you into trying to install a game offline ( It leaves a permanent game icon that won't go away until you can successfully install it and uninstall it )..

 

NOW, suddenly some of my games and apps needed an update and I have a bunch of them now stuck on INSTALLATION STOPPED!!! My Xbox One is going to ***! WTF is going on????

This is ridiculous!!!!

I wouldn't mind playing my games MICROSOFT!!! Come the *** on!!!

 

When did the problem start? I cant launch any apps or update them. Either get thrown back to the dashboard or get an installation stopped message

If you happen to be participating in the Preview Program, be sure to post in our Preview Program Forums that way the proper folks are aware and can assist you further.

If you're not part of the Preview Program and you are still experiencing this issue, when you have a chance, go ahead and

power cycle your Xbox One console.

Miss Diggz . Actually, its not fixed the issue, at least not for me and 4 of my friends. I am thinking the service alert and some of the problems are totally unrelated. One person messaged me and did say his problems were fixed, but he was getting actual
error codes during the outage, which leads me to think it was a different support issue. For me, I have had to do 3 Factory Default Resets so far in the past 2 weeks. One just a few hours ago. I have all my content backed up on my USB drive, and once
the console sees all those installed items on the USB drive after it gets reconnected, the " Installation Stopped " starts again. Please don't let the dashboard team close this issue. lol

Even though its not limited to the Preview dash, there is a few threads on this in those forum, along with one larger one. The support reps in there, seem to suggest its not fixed yet. People are having to do Full Factory Resets. I have all my content
backed up on my USB drive, but if I was to attach the USB drive, it would hit some kind of installation limit bug. So, I have to keep the USB detached AFTER a Full Factory Reset. Once the dashboard gets too many things installed, you cannot even install
things from a disc in OFFLINE mode. I'll lose all hope in the Xbox and Support if they close this issue

 

I'm having the same issues, today with the disc of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Also can't even install a DLC. It's driving me nuts.

 

I purchased nhl 15 last night from xbox live store and it wont fully install, stops at 95% everytime. Is anyone working on these issues??? I spoke to nice guy from support for over an hour but no good ,hes supposed to call back , but comon guys , you took
the cash now solve the issue. I really need to start buying games from actual stores again because this is way to frustrating.

 

Same problem here with Dying Light, stopped at 100% and now Store shows that I have buy again

I'm in the Preview Program, but I don't think it makes a difference.

I believe I've just found why this is happening. (2 possible reasons)

Either there is some kind of game/addon/update limit that is set, or there is a memory limit set.

The reason I'm adding the possibility of it being a memory limit is because I have a 2 TB external hard drive and when this started happening it was right around the 1 TB mark (51%).

But, if it isn't some kind of memory limit then it is definitely a limit on how many games/addons/updates you have.

I have tested this 3 times now and with all 3 times I got the installation stopped error where nothing worked except the following.

All I did was uninstall a game that I wasn't currently playing and went back to the game I was trying to install with the installation stopped message and hit the menu button then selected Try reinstalling...

TADA!!! It finished installing!

Before I went to uninstall another game, I tried to reinstall one of the other games that had the installation stopped message but if failed again. So, I uininstalled another game I wasn't playing and tried again. WORKED! Install completed! The same exact
thing fixed the other installation stopped game.

So... either there is a limit set to how many games you can have installed at one given time, or a memory limit... but I don't think there is a memory limit.

SOLVED!!! (for me at least)... BUT, I shouldn't have to do this. So, it still needs to be fixed.

 

I'm having the same problem with NHL 15 which I purchased online. It keeps stopping the installation at 95%.

At this point I think I'd just like my $ back. Can you do that somehow?

The preview update fixed the issue for me!
