Installation Stopped! (0x8007000f) GTA 5

Hey,

I've been trying to install a digital copy of GTA 5 but I'm having major issues.

At first everything was fine, I pre-downloaded the full game a couple of days ago without a problem. Then this morning when I went to install the release patch it got stuck on 99% saying "installation stopped !" and giving me the error code "0x8007000f". After
trying for ages to get that last percent I decided to uninstall and start again. Now I can't get it to 1% before it stops. I've done countless hard resets and tried installing it on my Xbox and external hard drive but nothing works.

Any insights would be much appreciated I'm starting to get extremely frustrated.

I'm trying to download GTA 5 and its stops installing around 30 percent saying "installation stopped"

 

Same here I bought the game, came home it installed fine then went to do the patch update and just keep getting "installation stopped!" Have tried the hard resets and still nothing. Uninstalled the game and then reinstalled still won't download that update!

 

You're not alone. I've gone through exactly the same stuff. Can't get past 1‰

The patch is dowloading reallllyyy reallly slow 5 procent in half hour my friend took him a min

 

Ok i found what the problem was when it got released it it went from playable 1 install but when u press that the game re downloads you should waited and started the game after the update installed automatically and goodnight!!!!!!!

 

Whitereaper001 doesn't really sound like that was the same problem because when i installed the patch it started at 97% and I would take slow over stopped anyday. Also I'm not really sure how you'd start the update without opening the game if that's what
you mean.

I ended up going and getting a disk from EB to install the game but I'm still stuck when it comes to the patch which refuses to even start now

For the other people experiencing this, I spoke to Xbox support staff and in very broken English I was told that it's a server overload issue and to keep trying for the next 24 hours. Pathetic really considering its a paid service and I've paid for a product
that at this time is completely useless.

 

Same issue here. Not just GTA 5 though, same thing happens for the destiny update. Always says, "There was a problem with the update." Or "installation stopped."

Out of curiosity does anyone else have the dashboard preview program? As in what version OS do people have. I have 6.2.11790.0 (xb_rel_1411.141113-2200) fre. Which isn't even listed on the support site.

Also I can't even get in contact with xbox support either. Really wanted to play GTA5 too.

 

Oh you guys have GOT to be kidding me. After as hard as it was to get Halo running....im gonna be so annoyed if I cant install GTA today.

 

This is happening to just about everything that came out today. Just picked up Far Cry 4 and it's stuck on 99% for the patch. Went to my other Xbox one (wife's xb1) to try and play destiny, nope same thing. Today is a sad day for gamers.

 

What a frustrating experience... I bought GTA 5 yesterday, got home, load the disc, let it 100% install then try playing it. Update came up, select install, and it simply won't! It keeps coming up with an update error (please check connection and try again).
There is no issue with my connection, all tested ok. Tryed hard reseting 5 times, waiting different times in between with console unplugged from power for 5 minutes, then 10, then 15, then 20 then 30 minutes. Then decided to delete the game install, wipe cache
again with hard reset, waiting 1 hour this time. Now the game won't even get to 1% install!!! So after forcing the Xbox One to go offline, it is installing again. It has to be a server side issue as it started installing fine after making the console go offline...
I just hope after the game installs it will update properly... By the way, Im in Australia if it makes any difference.

 

My Update is stuck at 22% and has been for ages.Up until then,it flew

Running NBN in Australia and have the Disk Copy

Looks like the Xbox is staying on all night while i go to bed...

PS,gone are the days where you simply put a disk in and play,which is super s..t

 

2.5 hours into the GTAV install, now i am at 17%,.... WTF !!!! :-(
