Installation Problem. (Disc)

I'm trying to reinstall a game disc, bf4, and it keeps installing to 7% and it stops after it will keep doing this everytime i try to reinstall. I tried the offline method, because it might be update. Idk what's wrong, somebody please help. I also increased
my storage with a 256gb drive and that didnt work.

I found out that I CAN INSTALL other games such as MORTAL KOMBAT or DESTINY, but Halo 5 Guardians, Halo the Masterchief collection, GTA V, DON'T WORK.

I played them a lot then I uninstalled few weeks ago in order to free internal space on xbox HD.

Now they don't work anymore.

Games are near mint, no scratches or cracks on disks.

I found out that it's not my xbox fault, cause I've tried to install them to an xbox of a friend of mine, and games still can't install.

Xbox phone support told me THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME.

They supposed to send my discs to the retailer to make a swap.

The guarantee of the retailer unfortunately ended few months ago.

It seems that I have to buy another copy of the game.

CAN SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE?

Disc Installation Problem

Hey there Khatrame.

It's odd that both consoles are able to read all discs but your games. How many different games have you tested between the two? With the games you've been using, do you notice and scratches or cracks on the disc?

 

Offline installation is the best and fastest way to get the game installed. If it does the same installation issue even after offline it might be the disc.

Question:

Would it happen that you have just recently got the disc?

Does the issue happen with all game disc you tried to install/play?

If it happens to all game disc placed even movie blu-ray/disc, then it might be the console lens. However if it happens to be specific to a game disc then it might be the disc itself. Having a new disc doesn't mean there are no chances it would be faulty,
that's where the replacement role comes in.

Alternate option: Clearing persistent storage

Settings>Disc and blu-ray>Blu-ray>Clear.

If it still doesn't work, please contact support for more options or to contact your retailer/seller for disc replacement. That is if the disc is still eligible for replacement.

These methods didnt work. If it helps when I was installing it again it made the "average reading disc" sound, but when it gets to 7% the sound stops and the installation stops.

 

I got the disc last year. Also I had unistalled it a couple of months ago. Hope this info helps figure out a solution.

 

I think BF4 has had quite a few expansions and updates since it was released so any download the console needs will probably be very large.

Out of curiosity how long have you waited with the console sitting at 7% and does the installation eventually error and stop?

 

Yes, it helped and yea it eventually error and stop.

 

And I have waited at least 15 second after it gets to 7% and error and stopped. Do i have to unistall all of my game on their now and install?

 

I tried unistalling every game except bf4 and that didnt work, could it be an old disc or the disc drive?

 

It is also looks like it can't decide to queue it or install it.

 

Now I've been waiting for at least a hour on 8%, should I called microsoft for help?

 

Go watch a movie or something and if you come back and it is still on 8% then yes call MS support. Maybe there is something at the beginning that is causing it to be so slow (can't imagine what) but that will just let MS know that you have been patient
and waited for a few hours. Good Luck!
