Installation of games

Until the Xbone I have never had a problem with a Microsoft console in my life but since owning one gaming has become more of a hassle than a pleasure. Number one problem being the installation of games. Now I understand the necessity of
this even if it's a time consuming process, but what I fail to understand is why I have to install a game multiple times for it to work. Installation constantly stopping and forcing a restart. It is 12am and I have been trying to install ffxv since 5pm. Never
in all of gaming has a system been as annoying as the xbone's game installation.

Installation of games?

You can install the disc to the hard drive, but you still need the disc in the drive in order to play the game. The disc is required to verify you actually have the game.

Aside fron downloading games from the marketplace there is no way to completely eliminate using the disc.

Installation of games?

Just wondering if it is possible to load a game from the cd to the XBOX 360 console's hard drive. I saw an option for loading to the external hard drive but I would like to load to the console hard drive. I worry about using the disk to much - having loaded
it to a drive I could then put the cds away for protection. What is Microsofts policy toward backup our games or replacement disks?

Sometimes it’s wuicker to install your games while offline. Go to settings, then all settings, network, then select offline. From there install your game.

Once it’s installed go back online and install any updates. This project should be quicker.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Is this game a digital download, or a disc game? If it is a disc game, the disc could be faulty if used. Let us know this detail and we will do our best to help you out.

I would also test out your console to see if it is capable of completing downloads. Cancel the download for the cars game. You can then try downloading a demo, or a free game like fortnite.

Curious, how long have you let it sit at 40%? I've had games do this occassionally, and I'll see it sitting still when downloading and not progressing. I've honestly just left it and did something else, and came back later (maybe a half hour) and then
it would be moving a little again. I'm not sure if maybe the specific file it's downloading at that time might be larger or how it works, but I've done that before. I would let it sit for a little bit and see if it moves, but if it's not moving after 30-60
minutes then yes try more troubleshooting. Good luck!

Although you have stated that you have already redeemed the code, I would just like to make sure you are doing it on the right account first, then, if you are, please go to https://redeem.microsoft.com/ and type
in the code, from there it will tell you if the code is valid or not and you can proceed on to redeeming it. I am really sorry that this is being more complicated then it should be for you! I hope you have a great rest of your week!
