Install Update Via Flash Drive

I just got Titanfall for my birthday, and after installing, I got a wonderful surprise saying I had to download a 3 gig update or I couldn't play. Lucky me, I have a terrible download speed, and constantly lose internet connection. I'm wondering if I could
have a friend download the update on their xbox, put it on a flash drive, and I install the update from the flash drive on my xbox. This is pretty much my last resort, if this doesn't work, I basically can't play Titanfall on my xbox.

Unless your console's still under warranty, I wouldn't accept the update. I wait until they're up on the website and available for install via USB flash drive.

Supposedly the update won't install on the 4GB flash drive it has. It needs a proper hard drive to install the update.

 

Hi, Sorry to say, but on the Xbox One you cannot copy the game update to a usb flash drive. There is no actual way to do it.

 

what if I were to install Titanfall on a flash drive, have someone update the files on the flash drive at their house, and then I put the files on my xbox?

 

It still wouldn't work. You would be better off taking your xbox to your friends house to update Titanfall there.

 

Are hard drives that come with the Xbox removable?

 

No, the xbox one hard drives are non-removable.

 

Yogurts if you have bad speed and constant disconnects you will have a problem with Titanfall, you would be better sorting your ISP/Modem out first.
