  1. install from disks is pathetic

I thought they fixed the install times from disks , I bought 3 games and I am installing ryse and it has been 2 hrs. now and it just hit 90% wtf . I downloaded murdered soul suspect in a hour and this game takes two hours to install and what's worse is in
5 min I just fully installed need for speed , rayman and killzone on my ps4 . so please fix this because those times are not normal and it says you can play but you cant start a game , also how long is my copy of deadrising and sports rivals going to take
    to install then.

    :)

Tips on installing from disk on the xbone

If you have a slower internet connection updates while installing from disc seem to really slow down the whole process. If you want it to be playable earlier. Take you console offline, install from disc, then go online to install the update after it is finished. This has worked wonders for me. It seems like MS could make it so this is done automatically. Hope this helps gets you in the game more quickly.

cant install 2nd disk of GoTY Arkham City

You have to launch disk 2 and install it from a menu in game, you cant just install from dashboard like other disks.

Disconnect from the internet and the install times go down. Of course we shouldn't have to do this but that's how it is right now.

  6. Just start the install, walk away for a couple days and forget about it. Go to work, watch a few movies, go to a friends house, go for a long walk and then maybe it will be done. If not, then just repeat the list I made for you.

Remember, it installs game updates first before the actual content on disk. Depending on your internet speed at the moment, it could be lengthy.

Ryse has a big update so it will download that too with the install. You sure those are full installs on your ps4? Ive thought so on my ps4 but like in mlb the show I couldn't use certain teams until it fully installed.

Seen a lot of thes threads. I havnt had any issues so Im wondering is there a difference plugging straight into the router as opposed to going wireless?

Nope I have 2 x1's in the house. 1 wired 1 wireless. Both install the same. I haven't had these issues. But if you get a game that had alot of updates expect a long install depending on your internet.

All over the place, it seems there is no definitive cause for the slow installs some of us deal with.

    1. Im glad Ive had no issues

    2. I hope those that do, manage to get it worked out. It sucks not being able to play.

    Maybe an ISP issue?

COD, Forza, NFS Rivals, and BF4 (these games have the largest game file sizes) on average only took me 1 HOUR (60 minutes) to install EACH game. Not tooooo bad. And those games I got the retail Blu-ray disc version. I would not recommend getting THOSE games
digitally if you only have normal ADSL Broadband speeds which average 8.0MB/s down and 0.9MB/s up in NZ.
