install from disk not working

i am trying to install a game on my xbox and it constantly stops at 2.2% install. i am installing it from disk and i have my xbox disconnected from the internet. i have tried uninstalling the game. cancelling the install and tried to remove local save games
and have had no luck currently. no matter what i do the game always stops installing at 2.2% and wont go any further. i also have 240GB of free space so space is not an issue here.

i have had this happen before but i dont know how i have fixed the issue when it has happened and for some reason the things that i have tried before are not working here. if anyone could help that would be great.

Battlefield 3 Freeze&Install problem

Read somewhere that some of the disks are not working. Return it to the shop you bought it from and they should replace it. Also when you do install your game to disk, make sure you install the texture pack before you install the game disks as this causes
problems as well.

Installed a game to hard drive, runs from DVD anyway

Ok let ya know its not a full install .Certain games still load from disk .It just keeps the drive from working so hard Hope this helped

Have you tried powercycling your console? Also, I don't know if it helps but maybe try to install it with the xbox connected to the internet.

Hello, annihilator3!

So if you are having problems with the installation via disk, I'd give the steps outlined in either of these two articles a shot. There's also a section within the console where it saves data from discs that could be getting in the way of the installation,
I'd try to clear it out following these steps

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > Disc & Blu-ray.

Select Blu-ray.

Select Persistent storage.

Select Clear persistent storage.

Turn off and unplug your console, and then wait 5 minutes.

Plug in and turn on your console, and try streaming the content again.

Then go ahead and perform the steps at
Troubleshoot game or app installation problems on Xbox One, or the steps in the article titled

The installation process stops at or near 0% when installing an Xbox One game from a disc

try installing the disk to the hard drive, and play from the disk. it is an extra step, and a little bit of a hassle, but the disk might work that way.

You will need working disks for it to work.

Installing the game doesn't mean you can play it without the disk, it helps your games load faster and still reads data from disks.
