Instability when more than 1 Xbox One Controller is connected

i have 2 xbox one controllers connected to my PC with the wireless adapter. i upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7. after upgrading i'm experiencing problems with certain applications, when more than 1 xbox one controller is connected:

• the gamepad-to-keyboard mapping tool xpadder gets completely unstable and unusable.
  
• the game "obliteracers" hangs on launch.

there may be other applications having similar problems.

the controllers are working fine with these applications , when only 1 controller is connected.

i also have 2 xbox 360 controllers. and the problem also happens, if 1 xbox one and 1-2 xbox 360 controllers are connected. if just the 2 xbox 360 controllers are connected, the apps work fine. so the problem seems to happen, if a xbox one controller is
connected simultaneously with any other controller (either a second xbox one or a 360 controller).

any ideas what could cause this?

Xbox problem

yes 1 day one and two bourght later. When more than one controller is connected they both disconnect and reconnect at the same time

 

PC Connectivity

My xbox one elite controller won't stay connected to my computer wirelessly thru the official dongle for more than a few seconds, the battery is fully charged and the dongle is less than a foot from the controller.

 

i just tried the game "Towerfall Ascension" and a similar problem occurs with it. please also see this post at the steam-forum of the game, where many more are having similar problems, and the combination of xbox one controllers with direct input is suggested
as a possible cause:

it seems, a lot of games and tools are having problems with more than 1 xbox one controller.

is microsoft aware of this problem?

 

I just purchased the wireless adapter for my Xbox One controller and I am having these same issues as soon as I turn on my 360 controller that is also connected wirelessly.

Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

 

I'm getting instability with just one Xbox One controller connected, either wirelessly or wired. The two games it's affecting me on - Automobalista and rFactor - slow to a crawl and are unplayable with the Xbox One controller connected, but as soon as I
unplug it/turn it off the game returns to normal speed.

Some are suggesting it started happening with the KB3140743 update. Please Microsoft, try to fix this. I just laid down £130 for an Elite controller and I can't even use it.

since the KB3140743 update my controller causes Windows 10 to freeze and every time I try to move the mouse there is a god awful beeping. Once connected it runs fine. However, it always occurs when the controller is turned off or turns itself off. That's
when the crash occurs.

i was able to fix my issues doing the following:

1. go to catalog.update.microsoft.com (using Internet Explorer)

2. download this driver: "Microsoft - Generic Controller - XINPUT compatible HID device" / Date: 01.01.2015 / Version: 6.3.9600.16384

3. extract the driver into a directory

4. plug in all xbox one-controllers

5. open the device manager

6. navigate to "Human Interface Devices"

7. perform these steps on every "XINPUT compatible HID device":

7.1 right-click on the device and select "Update Driver Software...."

7.2 select "Browse my computer for driver software."

7.2 select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

7.3 select "Have Disk..."

7.4 select "xinputhid.inf" from the folder you extracted the downloaded driver to

7.5 select "XINPUT compatible HID device" and click next

i don't know, which other issues might arise by using outdated drivers, but at least the problems i encountered so far are gone.

it's quite ridiculous, that microsoft cannot even get their own newest hardware to run without problems on their newest OS. ^^
