Insider update wrecked my harddrive

Dear insider team

The new preview made my xbox act up it gets hot it lags it makes noises it wont turn on it closes or opens programs..

Before you ask yes I did all needed steps no its not blocked or in a cabinet..

After two days trying to figure out how to get tech help and chatting for over five hours (!) with four different techs and calling dutch support (weird answering machine) uk support (hanged up when I got transferred) and US support (closed) today. the
last tech informed me that my last insider preview killed my harddrive. Since my xbox fell out of warranty since 2nd of February this year and the cost for replacing it is like a lot I can now throw away my xbox to the trash losing my recently purchased games
with it since I cannot afford a new xbox. and its the only one what uses a live account. Unless you can help me somehow id like to know how I can get out of all insider programs including the windows ten because I cant risk to lose another expensive machine
for testing your products.

Have you tried changing the hdd?

If external harddrive will eventually be supported then I'll wait and see how it goes. I just hope that the update will be released before the harddrive is full and I have to start deleting stuff off of it. From the video, it seems that the Xbox One and PS4 work the same way I don't get why Microsoft don't let people swap out the harddrive.

 

Update killed my harddrive

We walked through a number of steps to try to get it work. I cant even list off the top of my head all of them as I am just exhausted by this whole thing. We tried deleting the system cache, tried taking the harddrive out and seeing if it worked without
the harddrive in it (it did), tried checking if there was any corrupted fiels on the harddive (nope), tried deleting the profile and recovering it are the few of many that I can think of right now.

The error code that comes up is 396B -0000-D080-0200-8007-045D

 

update: warning for fellow insiders: one tech told me he was bumping this upstairs because apparently more insider hub users experienced this problem. He did offer me 20 dollar repairs discount.. very kind

but costs are enormous to replace the harddrive.
