    This is the last time I post before wrecking my console after 8 months of being unable to fix it. My Internet connection is part of the reason I'm finally giving up and as of now I have tried EVERYTHING.

    I want to say that this is the second time I get screwed by Microsoft and this is my final console from them if I can't get it to work. Also, I will do an uproar because of this Insider program where they never warn that an Update might get your console unusable because it might brick it. There is NO statement in the Terms about being an Insider, not a single warning; the only warning I got and I was okay with was the fact that I may lose all my data and games. Heck, I am okay if I have to replace my HDD but this isn't the case and I am already tired of this. USD$295 for repairing a console that costs USD$250 in México, are you kidding me? My console just got out of warranty on October or November of 2019 (perfect timing, I know) and can't get it back to work.

    I would like to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to the staff in this forum: let your technical writers know they HAVE TO ADD A WARNING in the Insider Program that the Updates might Damage the console to a point it becomes unusable and that way, you can drive off people like me that like to help but not by literally throwing away our consoles to waste as it was in my case. I'm so disappointed and am expecting this update to do nothing. Let me know in the comments about ideas on how should I dispose of this after the update fails. I'm so done.

    If you read through this let me just tell you something: unenroll from the program if you expect your console to keep working. If you just don't care or if you have multiple consoles, it's okay but for people like me that work our asses off to get our things and get them broken just because they didn't warn us in any way possible this is such a kick in the ass because it's not fair. At least you should give us special OSU versions or get a special benefit as warranty in case these issues appear (they are the bare minimum of cases and I dare say they are isolated cases) so we can keep helping with these updates.

    This is my experience and would like to know if any of you have another way to fix this issue it is welcome as the ways I might dispose of the console if the update fails to get my Xbox back to its working state.

    Curious that the OS version build your console has installed, the latest, as my controller
    firmware version is 4.8.1923.0. ... and always connected via uSB.
    Here's my console's OS version: 10.0.18363.8124 (19h1_release_xbox_dev_1911.191202-1836). As far as I can tell it is set to automatically update, as well currently it seems to say that no updates are available. Maybe there's a way to force an update or something?

    Also, my console is the older version. Didn't find any model numbers therein to specify precisely (which is weird, as even the controllers have model numbers), but my console is the one that looks like this:

    Except I have two identical controllers, as said before. Also, I did not mention that yet, but in case that matters, I also have Kinect.

    Offline Update is messed up

    Are you in insiders program ? If you are stop you will brick your console

    First skip any update

    Then remove the console fr insiders via a pc or the hub on the console

    Then update using the regular update

    I have the same problem! Since the second to last Insider update my Xbox won't turn on after an update attempt during the night. Power brick is bright orange, while the Xbox is in instant on power mode. When I press the xbox logo it tries to play the start
    up tune but it doesn't and nothing happens. Only way to get it to boot is to unplug the power brick, let it rest for a while, unplug all USB devices and plug the power brick back in. After booting up, manually start the update again, and when it's finished
    plug all USB devices back in. And after that I have no problem booting anymore untill the next update attempt during the night.
