    Error when launching games through the Xbox app (Windows 11) from an external drive

    Are you enrolled in the Xbox Insiders for PC program by any chance? This is a known issue and is being worked on.

    The ask is for Insiders who are experiencing this problem to report a problem through the Xbox App directly after attempting to launch the game.

    To report a problem from the Xbox App:

    1. Select your profile icon inside the Xbox app on the top right
    2. Select Feedback
    3. Select Report a Problem from the pop-up window
    4. Select Give new feedback and follow the directions to provide the information about the problem
    To answer the question ahead of time: no, I don't have a timeline for you of when exactly this should be fixed, as the issue is still being investigated. I hope this helps.

    Hi Mirko,

    If you have exhausted all troubleshooting steps and nothing seems to work, then I recommend reporting this issue through the Xbox Insider Hub app on your Xbox. You can report the issue to the proper teams and even include video or screenshots of the issue.
    I've personally tried the Blu-ray app on three different Xbox's and they are all working fine so I'm not sure what is going on with the app on your system.

    Hi there,

    The Insider Program is where you enroll your Xbox to test preview updates before they go live. Since the factory reset did not work, I suggest uninstalling and then re-installing the apps that are not working.

    If that doesn't help and the hard reset and power cycle did not help, then you may need to keep trying a factory reset until the apps begin to work.

    You can report problems through the Xbox Insider Hub App since this seems to have happened after your Xbox updated.

    well there is nothing you can do..

    Report a problem if you are an insider

    Or contact EA support..

    Maybe it's a bug in the current insider version and you need to opt out to get the app working correctly..

    Reported it twice already. But never got any feedback.

    It seems that other Insiders have the problem too, like on https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxinsiders/
    You don't get a feedback when You report anything, You Just have to report the bug as an Insider
