    i have a xbox 360 slim and everytime i instert a hard drive the xbox will not turn on and there will be a beep sound inside the console but when i take out the hard drive the xbox works . how do i fix this

    downloading update failure and carnt connect to xbox live!

    Try removing the hard drive, re-inserting it and trying to download the update again.

    My xbox can read games i play alot but a game that is new will not read well

    install the new ones to your hard drive, and keep inserting and ejecting until something shows up

    dumb question time you are putting in the drive when the system is off and making sure it is in all the way you should feel it connect to the inside connector when it is in all the way.

    New Slim: E-68 Error.

    So I presume that you inserted the Hard Drive that you used from the previous SLIM? If so, that would be the Hard Drive indeed. You will have to get that replaced.

    Does the error still show up even without a Hard Drive inserted?
