"Insert Disk" Xbox One won't read disks

9 out of 10 times i put a disk in my Xbox One it makes a grinding noise and will pretend like theres nothing in the Xbox. my warranty expired on the 24th of December of 2014. I have read around the Internet and it seems like i'm not the only one having this
problem..... i don't have any money to send this in and also it seems like Microsoft fault for making "defective" consoles :/ Do i still have to pay the fee for what it seems like not my fault that i have a defective console.... ( before you say you should
have learned you had the problem sooner i haven't bought a disk yet till now.)

GTA V - Disc Unreadable

I bought GTA V and my Xbox 360 (with 120Hb Hard Drive) won't read the game. When I insert the disk xbox recognise that is a game, if i press X (for see details) show me the details about GTA V, but if i press "A" for start the game xbox say "Disk unreadable, clean the disk or restart console and retry" . The disc is new, clean, and on other xbox goes well, this happens with all two disks of the game, seems to be incompatible. With others games I have no problem.

I tried all the things that i find on support (clean cache, remove hard disk and restart console, verify updates, etc) and nothing change.

Xbox One not wanting to read disks properly.

In the last month or so I have noticed a problem with my Xbox One. When I insert a disk of any type it does not read the disk. I have to eject and re insert the disk 3-5 times before it reads the disk. The system does not make any odd noises. It just
acts like it is refusing to read any disk. It will eventually read the disk but it is very frustrating. It will give an error saying that the disk is unreadable and to verify the disk correct for the system. This happens on games and movies. Any idea what
is gong on?

LOL ya i know as a year out and i am on my 3rd all disk drive issues and 75% of friends are on there second because of this . this systems is a mess in problems compared to my ps4 and even the wii u. the xbox one has been plauged with problems since day
one . WTF why did they not keep everything under one server like psn not this dumb thing were achivments dont show on the 360 from your x1 and the 30 day list should be for xbox games not just xbox one as i unlocked a bunch on the 360 but they dont count on
your last 30 day list on the x1 or even on the web page the x1 info does not show just 360 . How stupid did they not even think about this they made it so there not communacating and thats laughable because psn rocks it is amazing sony is sony on all systems
from my vita to my vita tv and ps4 and ps3 there all combined and act together , but not xbox its like there two completly diffrent things i am surprised they even carried over achivments with how sloppy the 360 and x1 communicate . Plus all the bad disk drives
i am on my 3rd in a year WTF and 75% of my friends are on there second because of the disk issue and then every day things dont load here and there and the install times are still bad and the downloading spe 2 hours , sunset over drive hour , This is crazy
the interface tryes to do so much that it is always breaking in some way and they wanted it to be always online lol they cant handeeds are horrible and it is xbox as i have downloaded destiny for both and 4 hrs on the ps4 with all updates and patches and on
the x1 over 10 hours and disk installs are way to long on my ps4 i have never waited more than 5 min for any game to install from disk on the x1 watchdogs 2 hours , ryse it how it is now and let us keep our own dam saves on our consoles for every game because
some games you cant play offline because of that or is that your DRM that you tryed to pull .

I get that exact same problem, I have to put disk in like 5+ times for it to work and I hate doing it cause it makes like a grinding sound and sometimes around the middle of disk it kinda be like scratched. They put in total crap disk drives for the Xbox
one and its sad, I supported MS and the Xbox one so much but this kinda makes me wanna go back to Ps or just say the hell with consoles and go back to PC gaming. Pay all this money and it hardly even works, its ridiculous

That may sound strange, but if you "hold" the disk for 2 seconds while inserting on the console, the xbox will pull the disk with more strength, then let go of the disk and see if it will read. This happened with my old xbox one, it would only read disks
if i did this, don't know why.

after the april update my xb1 comes on and you hear the disk check but it does nothing from there. Who know what this is. I insert my disk and the screen reads "insert disc".

chill out I got day one edition and the disk drive went a nacker ages back, tries to read then says insert disk on everything... digital only for me now

1) You're update you're console?

2)Insert other disk, if console read other disk, replace the disc BF3, if console don't read other disk, you're drive "laser head is DEAD"

3)Carefully inspect the disc , there are small scratches , there are special pastes that are applied to the surface of the disk , in place of the crack !
