Input Lag on HDTV (XBOX 360)

When I play my XBOX 360 on my Element HDTV (HDMI), it has controller input lag. I've looked through the internet multiple times and haven't found any solutions. No "Game Mode" or anything to help it on the menus. I've even tried lowering the resolution (as
low as 480p) and the lag was still there. It is definitely a noticeable lag, I even tried the old component cable and the lag was still there (although it wasn't AS bad as it is in HDMI, still noticeable though). I've tried about 3 different HDMI cables, they
all had the same story. Is my TV just bad with games or is there something I can do to fix it? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

(The model number for the TV is ELDFT406)

    :)

Anyone have a 4k monitor they recommend?

33ms input lag is very good and in the top 2% of all hdtvs. You will have no problem with that for gaming even on a competitive level. And thats coming from someone who was ranked #1 and played different games competitively with a samsung plasma hdtv with 38ms of input lag. Its fine!

  3. Can a tv slow down your game?

It's called Input Lag, and yes, the larger the screen the more input lag it often has...

Here is a large database of pretty much every HDTV out there showing the amount of Input Lag they have.

Best TVs & Monitors for Gaming: Input Lag Database

27" and below are generally 9-11ms of lag while 60" and above can be anywhere from 23ms to more than 70ms of lag. Move up to a 70" Sharp LC70UD1U and you can have more than 90ms of input lag.

If you game a lot and plan on buying a new HDTV save that link and check the database before you buy. The higher the lag the more you're going to notice unresponsive controls.

What you have is called Input lag. This is the delay between the video game controller and what happens on-screen. In some cases, input lag can be minimized or eliminated if you are using an analog connection like VGA or component instead of DVI/hdmi.

    hdtv or gaming monitor

Input lag is the difference in time between when the signal is accepted by the display and when it is shown on the screen. Both HDTVs and monitors have some, but monitors tend it have less because of default settings on TVs increasing input lag. You can
set up a HDTV to have an unnoticeable amount of input lag.

Most likely input lag. Newer HDTVs have a "game mode" setting. It usually gets rid of the input lag, see if yours has it.

    Lag Compensation video

An often overlooked source of lag is the television you are playing the game on. Most modern HDTVs will have a fair amount of input lag, and will make whatever lag the game has seem worse than it is. My old LCD had nearly 100ms of input lag, which put
me at a distinct disadvantage most of the time. My current TV is closer to 30ms input lag which is considered very low for an HDTV.

You may also want to go with a 120hz hdtv to reduce motion blur and input lag
