Innacurate detailed network statistics

Hello,

I'm writing here just because I have a small concern regarding what the detailed network statistics test on my Xbox One S shows me. I got a 1000 / 1000 fiber internet connexion, and the console is plugged with a Cat6 cable. Everything is perfectly fine,
when I download a game or update it ranges from 80 to 230 mps, and during games I always have a very good ping with no lag.

Now since the latency is calculated against a near Azure datacenter, I get a wierd speed result with the test:

Download speed: 55 MBit/s

Upload speed: 650 MBit/s

0% Packet loss

MTU: 1480

Ping: 25

The test indicates a low download speed, even compared to what I get when downloading games. I find it strange because I have absolutely no issues during online gaming aswell. Is it something I should be concerned about and check with my ISP, or is it just
the way the server I'm routed to calculate the latency? I live in Geneva, Switzerland.

Not all games use the standard xbox live ports.

I know Destiny requires port 1200 to be forwarded if your router has bad upnp support.

So try forwarding that port

this is a lie, i have 150+ DL and 15+ UL and latency is constantly 66-70 ms and my DL speeds vary (on xbox) from 30-90 MB and 1.56-8 MB

 

It's normal.

The "detailed" network test is not that reliable,especially as you are in Europe.

I'm in the U.K. & it always tells me i'm getting a faster download speed than I actually am.

I'd use a speedtest on your laptop or pc for a more accurate test.

I don't think that this is just in the U.K. It seems to be an issue with either the Xbox or Xbox Live network. My internet connection is up to a GB. When I run the detailed network statistics on my Xbox One X it shows that I have between 32-35 Mbps Up and
3.5-4 Mbps down, with 40ms latency. On my PC, which is connected to the same router is getting 32-35 Mbps up, 400-600 Mbps down. It almost seems that the detailed network statistics it not displaying the correct values for some reason, my upload is always
the same on both. It would be great if someone has an actual explanation for this. Is there a bug in the software that is being worked on?

 

I just used where I lived as an example.

All the test servers used for the speedtest are in the U.S. so anyone outside of the U.S. won't get a proper result.

You shouldn't be on xbox live really if your internet connection is that slow.
