    Initial update installation crashes Xbox one


    Hi there. Today I received my Xbox one in the post and have been trying to set it up. As you know, one of the first things required for setup is an initial system update. The system update seems to download fine, but when the console restarts and the green
    loading bar appears to be installing the downloaded update, the console turns itself off as soon as it gets around halfway, meaning I have to turn the console back on, and start again.

    I have tried to install this update 6 times now, and I'm very annoyed. Why can't I even get to the rest of the setup? Its ridiculous.

    I can't see what I'm doing wrong here, is anyone else experiencing this problem?

    Does not having xblive have a negative effect?

    Its part of the game and entire system design. Just like i got a 14 gig update during the initial game installation.

    Console critical updates, controller updates, etc etc. No live gold.

    How did you get a day one update as soon as you plugged in your xbox? Pony express??

    I search the forum looking for these topics, hoping the solution is in one. The only response I've seen is a link to the troubleshooting page, which doesn't work.

    After trying everything, my console immediately *** down after turning it on, so I'm going to put it down to a broken box and return it. Initial update installation crashes Xbox one :(

    Check with the retailer 1st if they are unable to replace then get in touch with official phone support.
