    Initial setup problem


    I just bough a new Xbox one and I can't get it to do the initial set up. It started and completed 1.2 gig download then it came with a "something went wrong, visit the Microsoft site! No joy there tried numerous times to do the setup but same message!

    I'm doing it wireless hot spot on my iPhone. Any suggestions? Tried to get the OS build number but pulling both triggers and hitting both bumpers does nothing either.

    Should I try the offline setup? First time ever with Xbox was PS for years! Never had a problem!

    Same issue. Apparently Microsoft doesn't want to acknowledge this problem exists. Several times now I have contemplated getting the PS4. Next time I think I will do it. Try calling Microsoft and they tell you to go to forums and see if somebody is willing
    to trade you for a digital copy....hahahaha. Then they tell you that if you buy an xbox one you wont have the problem. Not gonna happen

    Initial setup problem

    Hi all, I just bought Destiny for my 360 and I have made it to the installing screen and nowbits just stuck there not doing anything. It shows the "downloading from xbox games store" with a spinning circle next to it. The other two showed progress circles
    which have already completed. Does anyone know what I can do?

    find a network you can plug into with a Ethernet cable , friend or family member

    Hey there AndyC2101 I actually responded to your other thread, but wanted to provide the same guide here just in case.

    I need help with system updates on my Xbox One

    Try updating the console offline and see if that works. We don't recommend using a mobile hotspot for an Xbox Live connection as they are very unreliable and produce errors such as this. Let us know if the guide helps!

    Before getting a new HDD, try clearing the console cache by going to settings on the dashboard, go to memory, and then press Y on the HDD and hit clear cache. If this doesn't help I would try formatting the HDD as well.

    Based on your problem returning, it's possible that you have a faulty harddrive. You might want to contact support and see if the hard drive is covered under warranty:
