    Initial Setup interrupted, Now I can't sign in.


    I had to leave during my initial setup and the Xbox shut itself off. Now it's making me go through the setup again and when I get to the Microsoft account sign in it says that account is already here and I have to use a different account. I can't get to
    the home screen and I can't back out. I don't know what to do other than to create another Microsoft account which I'd rather not do. Please help.

    Initial Set Up Restarting

    Hi there!

    I'd hit up the chat support but it is refusing to put my name in, so that won't work.

    So, I just got a new 1TB Xbox One Halo 5 Special Edition and the initial set up was interrupted by the power supply getting unplugged. Now the initial set up just restarts the Xbox at a certain point and I can't get it to do anything else.

    I have never encountered this problem before, but I am sure I can try and help you with this problem.

    Could you try turning your Xbox completely off and unplugging it. Leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Once you have done this, please try signing into your Xbox console again, or doing the start-up procedure again. By doing this,
    I am hoping the console will be able to reset its self and come out of this loop it seems to be in.

    Account login problems on Xbox

    IF it is asking for a parent to sign in then when the account was initially setup the DOB on it was set to being under 18

    And again there is NO way to change the DOB on a xbox profile once it is initially setup

    Before getting a new HDD, try clearing the console cache by going to settings on the dashboard, go to memory, and then press Y on the HDD and hit clear cache. If this doesn't help I would try formatting the HDD as well.

    Based on your problem returning, it's possible that you have a faulty harddrive. You might want to contact support and see if the hard drive is covered under warranty:
