    Initial setup asking for birthdate but cannot toggle to day field for entry


    Initial setup asks for MSN or Skype acct. Give it username and password. Then it requires additional info of birthdate. I can manage to give it the MONTH and it defaults to my correct BIRTHYEAR. But it will not let me enter the DAY. I cannot toggle to the
    field! How do I enter this required field?? Updates were applied as part of the initial setup.

    Update for initial setup

    Trying to setup a new xbox one and I keep getting the same error message. Nothing is wrong with the network as I am able to connect the old one without problems. I tried an external update with a usb drive but it keeps displaying the same screen "there
    was a problem with the update".

    Console setup stuck on "enter birthday"

    Has anyone else had the issue of not being able to enter the birthday on the initial setup? I can enter the day, but it will not move on to the next field. Hitting enter displays a message. Something like "this is required".

    any help would be much appreciated. Not a good start i must say.

    Account login problems on Xbox

    IF it is asking for a parent to sign in then when the account was initially setup the DOB on it was set to being under 18

    And again there is NO way to change the DOB on a xbox profile once it is initially setup

    While you may be able to change the birthdate shown on your Microsoft account profile, the Xbox account birthdate cannot be changed. The date that was entered when the account was created will always be the birthdate of the Xbox account. The Xbox account birthdate cannot be changed.

    Before getting a new HDD, try clearing the console cache by going to settings on the dashboard, go to memory, and then press Y on the HDD and hit clear cache. If this doesn't help I would try formatting the HDD as well.

    Based on your problem returning, it's possible that you have a faulty harddrive. You might want to contact support and see if the hard drive is covered under warranty:
