Ingame Sound Problems with a new Controller

Hello,

I've bought a new wired controller (Spectra PowerA) and I've got sound problems in games since I'm using it. Sound is super silent and alot of noise just gets canceled midway or voicelines don't appear although some characters are saying something.

I had a normal wireless controller before, I always plug a headset that I'm using only as a microphone (can't use it for sound) into my controller and another headset without a mic for sounds into my TV Monitor. That worked great with my old controller.
I noticed that with the new controller the game tries to play sounds over both headsets, the one that's plugged into my controller and the one I'm using for sound plugged into my TV. I think that's causing the problem because it's trying to split the audio.
I can't find any setting on my Xbox that tells the Xbox to only use the Headset from the TV and not the one plugged into my controller.

Is there any way?

I have a powera controller also and experienced the same issues. U will need to plug it into a PC then go to powera website to update the firmware and calibrate it. Here's the link

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

if that doesn't fix the issue then please double check the audio settings on the console, the output may be set to a different type that you are using. Please see this link for some steps to try to solve the issue:

It's not meant to be "party chat" but "chat". Whether ingame or party. But the buttons are not switching between game or party chat, but to control the balance between game sounds and voice chat.

Hey Smerty, very sorry to hear about the sound issues! So you just received your console back from official repair, correct? What kind of video cables are you trying to use? Have you tried a different set of cables? How about a different TV?

Sounds like it's the controller causing the issue not the xbox. Buy a new controller or before buying a new one, try a different controller and see if the problem is still happening
