Infinite console updates

I had 5 console updates within a week, was wondering if that happened to anyone else, full on black screen saying " it's time to update " with the options to either update or stay offline, while using it, I'd click on youtube, boom, update, what's going
on here?

There was a problem with the update and for help to visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help

Infinite Warfare COD - Update failed

You need to manually update the system operating system. Settings > all settings > system > console info > update console.

Then launch the game and update it.

Resolved.

Mine updates while in instant on or standby or whatever it's called meaning while I'm not using it so I have no idea how often it updates

I have been checking for console updates for the past month + and have yet to see any, however I do get app and game updates.

I do not use instant on.

Last update on my system was 5/02/2016. Has their been any NEW console updates since then?

I assume the op is in the preview program.

There have been 7 new updates in the past 7 days which is why.

Your console should not be updating daily even if you are in the preview update.

First do what oldskool89 said.

If that doesnt fix it I would do a factory reset. As long as you have xbox live you wont lose any saves because they are stored in the cloud

If factory reset doesnt fix it then you probably have a faulty console
