indoor smart bike trainers (so one can exercise and compete online).

Hello, forgive my naiveness but I was curious about indoor smart bike trainers and the possibility of using one to compete against others online. I have begun my research (mostly on youtube) but I have become a little discouraged about this topic.
It would be great if Xbox could TEAM up with an already up and running company such as (TACX or Wahoo, I think it is called) and be able to marry their product with the effectiveness of an indoor trainer. Consoles are so EASY to set up and such. I really
do not like computer gaming due to the confusion and complexity of such a set up. I can remember years ago buying a peripheral for car racing (Steering wheel and foot pedals) and this was kinda fun. But it would be great to do a biking game (either road
race or down hill / mountain bike racing) and get exercise at the same time during the winter months, .. instead of going to a stinky gym.

CDN Error on Xbox fitness app

I get this error only on one of the series (as in, all the exercises by one of the trainers). I have rebooted, uninstalled, and have even tried it on my replacement xbox, and it still does not work.

 

Should I buy a Xbox One?

Wait until a game comes out that truly justifies you buying the console.

Your PS3 plays blu ray films. And you don't need a fitness game in order to be able to exercise indoors. Cardio exercise is the only form of exercise that will stop you becoming fat, so on the spot running is the only type of indoor exercise you really need
to be doing.

The Xbox One is still in testing phase with more updates and changes on the way. Plus it will most likely be even cheaper by the time a real next gen game finally surfaces on it.

 

Oh, .. I forgot to mention that worldwide, there are so many people interested in the sport (Lance Armstrong wannabes) and if Xbox did team up with an indoor bike trainer company, .. I am quite sure that a few hundred thousand more (if not in the millions)
consoles would be sold just because of this sport.

I really like your idea, havent heard about anything like it before, I would say drop a line to MS directly with the suggestion!

 

This is a terrific idea. It might actually make using a trainer fun.
