Indie games, music files, and profile vanished from USB

Twice a month I do a Twitch with a friend. Every time I go to his place I put my indie games and profile on a USB and plug it in. Everything works fine.

Tonight I did everything the exact same, except that when I went to access the games/my profile on the USB, it still said the space was being used, but there were no filed to be seen. I've cleared the cache, but I don't want to format and lose my games and
saves since I used the 'move' option instead of 'copy'.

Is this common? Whether it is of not, can anyone help me?

Usb Xbox music Library deleting?

Hey! Every Time I plug my Usb into my Xbox trying to play my music from my "Xbox music Library " on the usb my xbox says that there is no playable files on it. so I plug my usb into my pc and all the .mp3 files are gone. but only in that file, the music
in other folders is still there? Why?

4gb Xbox 360 usb hard drive question

So I have the 4gb hard drive with my xbox and I have a usb drive that I want to use a hard drive to save all of my games, profiles, and music on. Is there anyway to format a usb hard drive or external hard drive that will have the necessary files to save
games and profiles too, and be able to have music on it that I can play?

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for this. This issue happens when the USB drive you are using becomes too old and starts to die.

Your only option here would be to reformat the stick on your PC before using it on the console again and hope that this doesn't happen again.

For future reference though it may be better to put your game saves on Cloud (which can be used with an active Gold membership) and then access them on your friends console.

Actually, playing music off of the USB while in game is not supported. Your music files would need to be located on the hard drive.

Note: Anyone with a USB wondering how I used it for music, simply download the music, it has to be in MP3 (or any other recognized audio file format) and just put it on the USB and put the USB into your xbox, then from the xbox guide go to the right one,
hit "Select Music" or something along those lines, go to the portable drive and bam, you got music.

Hi! Where are you playing music? In Zune or from the Media Player? Is the music located on the hard drive, CD, USB Flash Drive, or on your PC? What type of music files are you trying to play?

hey iirc the cache doesnt store the files like normal games for indie games

i think the cache is actually in the indie game folder so give that a shot.

also.try play it on another profile on the same xbox to see if it works with another profile.
