Incredibly slow download speeds

Hi All,

Whenever I try to download an update, or a digital download for a game, the download speeds are incredibly slow, yet my other devices are fine. It even says that i should be getting 25Mbps in the detailed network statistics, rather than the 400Kbps that
I am getting.

It's solved. It allows me to purchase with incredibly slow download speed.

I second this aswell, I have a wired connection with Comcast. i tend to pull down 145+mbps and im finding it incredibly slow. However i have found that if i use my Verizon AirCard that the download speeds turn to normal. is there an issue between your servers
and Comcast?

 

Yes, I've been experiencing the same thing the past week or so... My detailed network statistics say I should be getting 90 + Mbps, but most of the time I get around 5Mbps. And like you, all my other devices are fine, so it must be XBL related.

I've been in touch with Xbox Support, but they weren't much help. This needs to be investigated further by MS because I've seen a bunch of people complain about this.

 

Make sure that when you are downloading a game, you leave the console alone. If you are playing a game or using other content in the background while the game is downloading, it will bog things WAY down. Try doing a hard reset before attempting a download
and then let the console do it's thing. I know its super inconvenient to have to wait idle while the content downloads but it will be much faster than trying to DL while you game or stream.

My connection for example is 120 down by 10 up but when I'm downloading a game I only average 45-50 Mbs on my download. It's a common issue that doesn't have any real direct solution. Hope that helps! Good luck.
