  1. INCREDIBLY slow connection, NOT playable

i bought my Xbox one console about 2-3 weeks ago. You're probably expecting me to have had a lot of fun playing the new call of duty and destiny etc. well, 90% of my time I have spent holding a xbox one controller has been trying to get an Internet connection
that will actually make the games i own playable. Right now, I have an open Nat on my games and on the Xbox but having done a speed test in the "detailed network" area, I have found im getting 0.16mb DOWNLOAD and 0.59mb UPLOAD. This is not the case with ANY
other device besides the Xbox one. My latency is another greatly dissapointing thing. 400ms of latency and that is about 380ms more than my laptop. I have put on DMZ, port forward, UpnP, reset my router, reset my Xbox, changed it to power saving, tried other
routers, done the RT+ Lt + RB + LB thing and yet nothing seems to work. If this is an Un fixable problem then I have wasted $700 on a piece of plastic and a few discs that could have been put into a half dozen sets of ugly shoes and i could have had more fun
    playing with.

    :)

  2. Downloading is INCREDIBLY SLOW

I'm sorry you are having problems downloading from LIVE, but there are current problems with the network at the moment. I was able to download a 700MB demo in just under two minutes - although I do have a 60Mb/s line.

It's likely the service you pay for is 'upto 2Mb/s' which means the speed you actually get can vary.

How long have you had this issue?

Does your ISP throttle your connection if you download a certain amount of data? Are there any caps on your connection?

Are they are other computers or consoles on your network that are on-line at the same time?

Have you contacted your ISP regarding your slow download speed?

With regards to port forwarding and such, there is no need to fiddle about with this. Regardless of your NAT type or ports you have open/closed, your speed will not be effected.

  3. incredibly slow disk installs

I would just let a game install while I'm at work or asleep. I would be way too impatient to wait for it to complete while I'm in the same room with it.

hey there iateaturtle, sorry to hear about your new download issue with trine 2. could be a few different things

check your hard drive, test your xbox connection, powercycle your home network, or put trine 2 into your download queue from xbox.com

hang in there and do what you can for troubleshooting

well if your connection is 2mbps then thats the max speed you could get. most likely your getting around 1.2 to 1.3. Also is anybody else in the house on the internet while your downloading? that could make it slower
