Incredibly poor download speeds.

Since at least Thursday (3 September) I have been getting unbelievably slow download speeds. Internet speed tests using various test sites (including that built into the XBoxOne) report I am getting 10mbs or better download speed but the XBoxOne simply
will not download any faster than 1.5 to 1.8mbs. The result is, I have been downloading the Forza 6 Ultimate Edition since Saturday morning, this morning I just passed 60% downloaded. There is no problem with my internet connection as every device on the
network can download at the connections full capacity. Every device, that is , except the XboxOne. I know from checking the forums here and elsewhere that this problem was being seen in Europe as well as North America between the 29th of last month and the
1st of this month, then MS proclaimed the problem solved. Well it isn't solved, so what gives?

Incredibly slow download speeds

Yes, I've been experiencing the same thing the past week or so... My detailed network statistics say I should be getting 90 + Mbps, but most of the time I get around 5Mbps. And like you, all my other devices are fine, so it must be XBL related.

I've been in touch with Xbox Support, but they weren't much help. This needs to be investigated further by MS because I've seen a bunch of people complain about this.

Would you please go to Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test and run a speed test there and post back your results? Are you on a wired or wireless connection to your Xbox One?

In the past couple of days, there have been SEVERAL Xbox LIVE Service Alerts regarding the core services of Xbox LIVE. This means something serious is not wanting to talk to each other.

You can also try reviewing the Xbox One Slow Performance article and just follow those steps as you're having a game run slow.

The network speed tests are fine. I ran through all the troubleshooting steps wit a service rep on Saturday. Proof that the problem is/was on your end? With out touching anything the download speed is now running at near full network band width. More
data has downloaded in the last 8 hours than had downloaded in the previous 2 1/2 days. Nothing has changed with my systems and the network speed tests are the same as they've always been. Suggest you check why the through put from MS has been so low since
at least Thursday.

 

I second this aswell, I have a wired connection with Comcast. i tend to pull down 145+mbps and im finding it incredibly slow. However i have found that if i use my Verizon AirCard that the download speeds turn to normal. is there an issue between your servers
and Comcast?
