Incorrect warranty length on Xbox Elite controller

Hi,

I purchased a brand new Elite series 2 controller yesterday from Amazon. I registered the device with my Microsoft account but the warranty length is too short. The Elite controllers are meant to have 12 months limited warranty however it shows the warranty only lasting till October this year.

I'd like to speak to a Microsoft employee however the contact page just sends me to irrelevant pages or to ask here.

Does anyone know how I could speak to someone human from Microsoft to get this resolved?

Unfortunately since your warranty is out (unless you are incorrect about the date) you may not be able to get warranty support. If you are in warranty please see this page:

There have definitely been some known issues posted in the forums about the Elite Series 2 controller. If you do get a replacement for any reason, there should be a limited warranty on this as well but definitely check the fine print when you purchase
one to be sure and to check the time length of the warranties.

Controllers (except Elite's) have a 90 day warranty, so it would not be covered....unless it came with a console, in which case, the warranty may be 12 months (or it was with my controller). Go to your Microsoft account and check devices to see if it's under warranty or not...if it is, then you can start a replacement order; if not, there's not much you can do besides buying a new one.

If you bought it from a 3rd party (ie not Microsoft itself), then they may be willing to replace it
