Incorrect region code

I recently purchased a used 360 from ebay. Its the black s model with 250 gb hd. Some games that I play in it give me an incorrect region code. Other games play just like they are suppose to. All games are NTSC games. The guy that I bought it from says
that he has played lots of Call of Duty and Halo games with discs bought from Gamestop without any problems. I have chatted with xbox 360 support for hours and they dont know what the problem is. I would appreciate any help that I can get in regards to this
matter.

sounds like the console is from a different region and he sold it to you in your region (or he bought it from another region to his then sold it from his to yours). if that is the case there is no way to make games that are non compatible with that system
to play.

 

If that were the case why do most of the games play. All of my games have NTSC on the box. The guy that I bought it from says that he has never had problems with it playing discs.

 

Because some discs are not region locked

On the disks any disks bought in the ntsc region will say ntsc but it cna be still region freee

If you look at the back of your used console it will say ntsc or ntsc j or pal

If it isnt just ntsc then you wont be able to play all ntsc games unless they are region free

You cna use play asia for referenc eto see region locked or region free games
