Incorrect "last seen online" display when signing out

Ive been noticing a recent bug with the latest Xbox Dashboard update to my console back in March. What happens is when i get off, it'll display when i was last inside an app. For example: i sign on at 1pm, go into setting, and get off around 5pm on the home
dash; but xbox live shows my profile as "last seen 4 hours ago: settings" compared to "one minute ago: home" prior me signing out.

Signing out seems to make think that my last activity was an app(settings, social, my games&apps) rather than the home dashboard for some reason. If i sign out in a game then it'll properly display when i did get off(ex: last see 1 min: Destiny); but if
i quit the game and sign out on the home dash, then xbox will revert to the last app i used as a placeholder.

I dont believe that my account having the issue but it's the latest OS update thats causing the "last online..." to display incorrectly. I was able to determine that turning off my console instead of signing out will display a "last seen 1 minute ago: home"
compared to signing out with a "last seen ** hours ago: [APP]". Ive seen a few of my friends replicate this exact issue if they happen to sign off rather than turn off their xbox; as it would show "last seen ** hours ago".

I'm so sorry for what you're going through, open the Xbox app on your mobile device and then sign in. Select your gamer image in the lower right corner of the screen. Select Appear Online or Appear Offline to change your online status.

It definitely can still show "Home" as the last activity a person was doing when they turned their console off as I see it regularly in my friends list. I can see several people with that status right now, for example: -
