Incorrect gamertag linked to xbox account

I am trying to log into my xbox account online via mobile and laptop to use a games features. I am using the email associated with my account but when I log in I am signed into a different gamertag than the one on my console. The account I sign into on mobile/laptop is a generic gamertag and display picture with 0 gamerscore where as my console account has my chosen gamertag and display picture and the correct gamerscore even though the email is the same. Because I cannot use the correct account/gamertag I cannot use the desired game features. Can someone please help?

This is because the email it's not the same one, could be very similar emails but they have a difference, could be very small as a dot or an "l" uppercase being confused with an "l" lowercase, or a different domain instead of .com maybe it's .UK

However, you should note that the Gold paid time will stick with the GT. If you added Gold to it recently, you can try contacting support and see if they're able to do anything about it: http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Sorry to hear it. Did your daughter previously have an offline account? If so, when you set her up for Live it would have randomly generated a gamertag for her. You should be able to do one free gamertag change from the dashboard though. Go to Settings>Accounts
to check.

The Corrupt gamertag can be due to many reasons.... common errors/reasons are due to incorrect billing information or incorrect information provided needed to set up the account. However it is a rare occurance but it may just be down to xbox live itself.

Hey there, 9 times out of 10 when this happens you've used the incorrect email. Do you still have an Xbox 360 with the gamertag still on it? You can double check the email that's associated with the account through the console. As I understand, it's impossible
to associated two gamertags to the one email.
