Incorrect game version when trying to load?

Imagine what will happen if people who don't know what's going on go and buy the $15 DLC for this only for it not to work for them. MS is going to start getting angry people demanding refunds.

Is this poblem why I don't see a link to the free game on my dashboard? It just keeps showing Saints Row. Considering how popular this game is, they ought to fix it asap. Of course, we still don't know what's making the on demand version so buggy in the
first place! Hope it's fixed before the 16th.

Thanks for the help, I do have the disc version, but a more or less, non functional disc drive. It works, but just barely. I had the same problem too, thanks.

I have been reading other forums and supposedly people are saying to re download the game so I did what people on other forums said and it's still 1.0 i'm guess it's fixed somewhere? which is good news if it's true meaning we should hopefully see a fix soon

So, does anyone know why it is that they needed to make the new version? I notice that it's listed as "Dark Souls (2014)" in some menus. Why did we need the new, unpatched, DLC incompatible version for the Games with Gold deal? It's a bit odd that they'd
release a free game, let you pay for DLC, and- whoops! The DLC doesn't work with the free game you bought it for!

Yep GoD is old version so not compatible with the DLC or savegame from the disc version...

Great work to give a buggy version as free games with gold...

I hope FROM SOFTWARE can get a fix going but with dark souls 2 out, I can't see that happen

Attempting a redownload of the entire game again. People are saying the download went down earlier today and then got readded so maybe they changed the file back to what it is suppose to be.
