Incorrect game version when trying to load?

I just redownloaded the games on demand version and it never prompts to update and my save doesn't load. It just says incorrect version to update and retry. Is anyone else having this. Ive cleared the cache and even tried redownloading...

GTA IV PROBLEM

Tryed to play multiplayer on full version of GTA 4 but when I pressed multiplayer on the phone it wouldn't work and said "gamer tag permissions are incorrect". Please help!!!

There is no season pass for the console versions of the game. The IGN article is incorrect.

 

Yes, this has happened to mine as well. In addition to not giving you the update, it also will not make note of the Artorias of the Abyss DLC in-game, whereas normally if you have it downloaded it will note that it's checking the files. By and large, the
Internet will be useless. I've heard it's because of some free game issue with Dark Souls in the coming month of June.

 

I just found out, you can get the update with the disc version, but it only works on that.

 

For those that might read this thread:

1. The new Games on Demand Version will not update, and is incompatible with DLC.

2. To get it to play, you must delete all old saved characters, and then you can play without your updates or DLC.

3. I was told by Xbox Support that it was From Software's responsibility, as they issue the updates. This completely glosses over the fact that the game works on PC or PS3 flawlessly with updates and AotA.

Basically, the new Games for Gold version just eradicated the old Games on Demand version.

 

Someone should contact FromSoftware for a fix.

same here the game works with cloud saves but not my previous saves on my hd i also tried re downloading the update on my xbox as well as the game itself

 

Attempting a redownload of the entire game again. People are saying the download went down earlier today and then got readded so maybe they changed the file back to what it is suppose to be.

Same problem for me. I can put my disc in and it works but once i try the download doesn't work.

 

Nope, doesn't work. They need to fix this ASAP.

 

GoD version is old version so DLC and save game from disc dont work.

GoD is pretty old and buggy what a shame for a free games with gold.

Yep GoD is old version so not compatible with the DLC or savegame from the disc version...

Great work to give a buggy version as free games with gold...

I hope FROM SOFTWARE can get a fix going but with dark souls 2 out, I can't see that happen
