Incorrect Expiration Time For Microsoft Account Local Currency

I had a $10 USD in my Microsoft Account for Xbox that was set to expire on 6/28/2014. Which to anyone in the world means 6/28/2014 11:59pm. Though this was not the case, it looks as though it expired on 6/28/2014 12:01am. This is not correct. Can anyone
help?

Hopefully the remaining Microsoft points that people have will be converted to local currency, or else that would be a huge waste. I found an FAQ on this, hopefully the information is true.

Vagabond; as mentioned above, Microsoft retired the Microsoft Point system and replaced it with local currency. Any points in your account would have been converted to the equivalent conversion into your local currency at that time. However, I believe that
the converted currency was considered "promotional" and came with an expiration date. You can check the status of the funds in your Microsoft Account by logging in at

if there is anyone to help it would be xbox Support, so you should give them a call

but i highly doubt this will Change your Situation, mostly because a question might be, why havent you used your currency up until now as you knew it would expire

Actually, expiring on 6/28 means (to me, anyway and many others I know) that it's at 12:01AM on the date of.

oh. I appologize. Also, for the Ambsyassador up there saying you cannot use local currency via the web page, that is incorrect analysis. Just a heads up there. After they fixed my account, The web page was allowing me to purchase games using any local
currency I had in my account. Before they fixed the splintered account issue that a lot are having, the local currency would not show up at all as being able to be used. Now it is working on both my console and the web page to buy things. At least they
fixed that part of my account. People will never know they have a problem, unless they know they have credit due them, and that its not using it. To add insult to injury, local currency WILL expire. Normally after 12 months. But if you have a gift card
from the Microsoft Store for buying a phone or something, it will expire in 15-30 days. So its very possible you may lose credit owed you. I lost a $10 gift deposit due to it expiring. It said 30 days, but by the time I got the email, I only had 15 days
left to spend it. But it wouldn't take it. They made up for it though.... with credit for microsoft store products, that was seperate from xbox.com purchases. Like a coupon off a phone, or something.

Yes, this is the case. Any points that Microsoft converts to currency will expire on June 1, 2015 once they are converted. Any currency you add to your account via a Xbox Gift Card / Microsoft Account top up via a payment method will not expire.
