    Incorrect age restriction on Xbox Gamepass PC


    When I try to install mature content on Gamepass PC I get an error that it is restricted due to age and I need to get an adult account to download the content. It is an adult account and has no restrictions.

    I have tried many of the troubleshooting steps I've found online.

    I have verified that there are no restrictions in my account. I have signed out and back in. I have updated my age on my profile to be over 60 even though my age was correct and over 30 before. I have then signed out and back in. I have reset the app data for Xbox PC. I have done all of this and restarted my PC.

    I called MS Support.

    Known issue apparently, installing via Microsoft store instead works.

    The Microsoft store still tries to download the game through the Gamepass app. So that's not an option.

    Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple reports in regard to the same issue. It can be an emerging issue but since there is no official update or information yet, we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

    Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps, kindly try installing games directly on Microsoft Store.
