    I sent my Xbox One back for repair (didn't even last a year) on 12/19/14. I kept checking my repair status and it just kept saying it was "in progress". I entered a chat with a customer rep and asked about my Xbox Ones status. I was informed my Xbox had
    not been received and asked for my tracking number. I told them I was never given a tracking number. I was directed to contact Fed Ex and request the tracking number. I did such a thing. Fed Ex informed me that Microsoft would of provided me with a tracking
    number with the prepaid label they provided me. Shortly after this, I was disconnected from my chat and had to wait another 15 minutes to get into another and explain my situation again. Once again, a different customer service rep told me that my Xbox One
    has not been received and is not being serviced. Once again I told them I had no tracking number because I was not given one by Fed Ex. I stayed persistent and the customer service rep found my tracking number. I tracked my Xbox One and it showed it had
    reached its destination on 12/24/14. 6 days ago. So I asked the customer service rep how my Xbox One showed up as not received an in service. A long period later she returned and informed they have my Xbox One. Clearly, the people I spoke with have no idea
    what they are doing. I was in a chat for over 3 hours today. I still have no idea if they actually even know where my Xbox One is. I still never received a "sorry" or "our bad". The rep then tried blaming Fed Ex. One of the worst customer service's I have
    ever dealt with. Told them I would rather just have my money back and they keep the Xbox. I've been a Xbox live member since 2008 and treated like I had no idea what I was talking about today when asking where my Xbox One is since they could not find it.
    Real geniuses you guys have working there.

    Wow. I did not know that. If that's the case, then SPDIF is probably the only way. Bitstreamed Dolby 5.1 from DVDs via SPDIF should sound no different to the same bitstreamed via HDMI - had the Xbox been able to do it. uuuhhh.... the Xbox can bitstream
    DD5.1 via SPDIF, right?

    The support staff only get information forwarded by the repair depot. If the repair depot didn't log that your console had arrived for whatever reason then that is why Support mentioned it hadn't arrived. The Support member that found out your console had
    arrived is likely to have dug into it deeper rather than trusting what their system told them.

    The tracking number is usually on the packing slip itself so Microsoft did provide this in that email.

    Hopefully you get your console back soon.

    I just now received an email today (Jan 2, 2015) informing they have received my Xbox One. Tracking shows they received it on December 24th, 2014. Good thing I contacted Xbox on the 30th. The email says my replacement console will be sent shortly. Ummmmm,
    I don't want a replacement console, I want my console after its repaired. I'm going with, they lost mine. Hope this isn't the case.

    I just now received an email today (Jan 2, 2015) informing they have received my Xbox One. Tracking shows they received it on December 24th, 2014. Good thing I contacted Xbox on the 30th. The email says my replacement console will be sent shortly. Ummmmm,
    I don't want a replacement console, I want my console after its repaired. I'm going with, they lost mine. Hope this isn't the case.

    This situation is NOT unique to Xbox customer service. You shouldn't have to look far to find alarming incompetence in just about any customer service at any company. Well I'm in America, so maybe it's a rarity where you are, but it seems like most employees
