Incoming chat only through speakers

In the April update, has there been added the ability to select incoming chat through speakers no matter what? I'd like to be able to use my PC style headset with my Earforce DSS, but currently (as far as I am aware) as soon as you plug your mic into the
stereo headset adapter, it brings all chat through the headset no matter what. Because of this, I can't hear anyone if I want to use my DSS.

CoD BO2 Chat

I want to play the chat through my headset and the tv for others to hear. When I go to preferences>voice I checked the box for play through both speakers and headset and I turned the voice volume all the way up and the game volume all the way down and it still isn't playing through the speakers. I also tried playing the chat only through the speakers and there was no chat to be heard at all. Does anyone know how to turn the volume up for black ops 2 or is there something wrong that I can troubleshoot?

Chat through speakers

Unfortunately, this is not an option on the Xbox One -yet-. I, too, used to love this as I gamed a lot with my friends in the room and this used to assist me in keeping up with game chats.

I agree, we need a both and through the speaker option. I got a feeling this feature will come eventually.

No joke waaaaay back in the support page for Xbox one, you can see "options" for voice through speakers and headset and other options with voice chat. I contacted their DUMB support multiple times on this, and btw they removed it from the page instead of
ADDING this feature.... instead we gotta have dem snap achievements.

Seriously, update the controller with your headset still plugged in and you'll be fine

Ok the best way I have figured out to fix this issue is to do a hard reset. Just hold down the power and eject button at the same time. Wait for the picture to go off the screen of your monitor. The xbox will stay on for a minute but will eventually shut
it's self off. Turn the xbox back on and it should work. You may have to repeat this step 2-3 times before it starts working.
