Inbox issue (Message won't delete) (Solved)

So, I had a message in my inbox, a friend request, that I didn't want there anymore because I had forgotten who the person was, and my friends list was starting to fill up with people who I never talk to anyway. So I pressed X to delete...and waited...and
waited some more, the circle spinning away and making me think my console had frozen, when a message popped up saying "Can't complete process. Please try again. For more info go to..."

Annoying, so after a few more tries, each ending in the same result, and a few days and reboots later, the message is still there, and I still can't delete it. So, today, I go to the support chat, and after talking to Elizabeth G. (Great Rep by the way.
Very polite and understanding) and after clearing the caches, deleting my profile and re-downloading it, etc, it turns out that there is nothing we can find to make this message go away, short of waiting the 30 day message expiration period.

I could live with that. it's more of a minor annoyance on the level of symmetry errors in Minecraft. It just kinda bugged me when I saw it.

So I left the support, the message still in my inbox, but only in my consoles inbox. the xbox.com inbox showed empty, so we assumed it was a sync error. That the message
had been deleted, but the xbox just hadn't figured that out yet.

So I checked my friends list to see who was online, and below a friend request that I had sent out, I saw the pending request that I had been trying to get rid of from my inbox. I pressed X to cancel the request, and...it worked! The message is no longer
in my inbox!

I'm posting this here so that hopefully, if someone finds a friend request that they can't delete from the inbox, they see this and this works for them. Hopefully, someone sees this and adds this to one of the steps for the support staff as well. I could
tell that Elizabeth was a little disappointed that she couldn't fix the issue, and I've been there myself.

cant read my messages

I've just had this exact same problem. Turns out I'm the same, too many messages.

Maybe this something for Xbox to solve? Either delete old messages when the inbox is full or even give a little message saying "your inbox is full please delete some messages". This would help a lot xbox. Also maybe a delete all option?

 

xbox live: your message cant be sent ... ever time i try to send a messageor friend request

If no then try deleting a message in your inbox, if a message can't be deleted then the problem is from your Xbox 360.

If you can delete a message from your inbox then your messaging limit has been reached
