Inbound notifications not being received

Good evening, guys!

I've been experiencing a strange issue with my Xbox One and I'm running out of ideas on how to resolve it. I bought the console a few days ago and soon discovered that I wasn't receiving game invites from friends. Additionally, I hadn't noticed any notifications
to inform me that friends had logged in during gameplay. I started to look into it and found plenty of resources online relating to NAT problems and suchlike. I found that my NAT type was switching between moderate and strict and was able to rectify that by
configuring port forwarding on my router. Unfortunately, the notifications issue persisted. Not only do I not receive pop-ups the inform me of inbound notifications but they simply never reach me. My notifications list stays completely empty of party invites
and game invites.

I've been on to Xbox support's live chat and have spoken to their telephone support. Unfortunately, neither have been able to direct me towards a resolution. I've tried as many of the troubleshooting methods as I could find: I've set a DHCP reservation
on my router; enabled/disabled uPNP with/without port forwarding; I've set a static IP on the console itself; I've tried several hard reboots etc. As a test, I've even created a new Xbox account and determined that the problem persists across the two, separate
accounts. The network and multiplayer connectivity tests come back without any problems and I've checked the notification settings as per the troubleshooting guides. Thus far, I've been unable to resolve this issue.

I've opened the following ports, both inbound and outbound, against the IP of my Xbox One console:

88

500

3074

3544

4500

NAT type is consistently 'OPEN' at this point.

Would any of you folks have any suggestions as to what the problem may be in this instance? I'd love to be able to effectively communicate with my friends but it seems I'm missing out on invites at current! Either that, or they just plain don't like me...

Why are notifications and invites not being received

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Why are notifications and invites not being received

My son is upset that his party invites and notifications are not being recieved on his xbox one.

His notification settings are all enabled

The hide when playing video check is disabled

I have allowed everything in family trying to make a difference

They were working up toyesterday but are now only showing on his phone. (Android) which he has been using the xbox app on for some time.

We have redooted, disconnected network and reconnected, removed the accountt and reinstalled, even reset the xbox.

Can anyone help.

This may have been the first thing you did, but have you checked your notification settings?

It's under

Settings > Preferences > Notifications

One of your previous network states may have messed with some of these.

 

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm afraid so. I've attempted to disable them, restart the console, re-enable and restart once again but it's made no difference, unfortunately.

 

I'm experiencing a similar issue, I do not receive any party or game invites. I do see when friends log on and receive messages, just no party or game invites. The strange thing I see is that I see the same person that added me as a friend every time I
login, and even when I remove this, it appears again the next time I log in. I've done a hard reset, set my nat to open, tonight I'm going to unplug the console and see if that works.

Let us know how power cycling your console goes. If that doesn't help try
removing Xbox Live profile and then add it back to your console to see if there's any change.
