Inappropriate word

Hey, just a quick question.

I noticed that the german Word "Bitte" which means please is marked as inappropriate and i wonder why that is? There are even more words marked as inappropriate even though they are not even close to being that.

bitte is a term that can be used for wanting milk from an apendage of the opposite gender. hence why it wont be allowed. also in french it means a gentlemens appendage.

don't forget that xbox live is a global platform and has to take into account offensive words in all languages.

Quite strange. In general the inappropiate words that the console detects are a bit strange. Like trios or duos (of course mode for apex/battle royale) are inappropiate.

I believe it will be fixed in some near future, thanks for the spot.

Yes thats how i noticed it in the first place.

i wrote a whole sentence and it gave me the message above so i tried finding the cause of it and it was indeed Bitte.

Depending on the word it may have different meaning in different language or common expressions and therefore may be marked as inappropriate

Possibly as it could be construed as a purposeful mis-spelling of 'bite'; while on its own, isn't particularly offensive, I guess could be combined with other words...

Looks like the profanity filter is a little too cautious in this instance.

Have you tried writing a whole sentence in German, including the word 'bitte', to see if it is still picked up?
