Discus and support Inactive Gamertags in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Is there any possible way you could get an inactive Gamertag? Say someone hasn't been on for over 5 years or what ever.     Inactive Gamertags


    Is there any possible way you could get an inactive Gamertag? Say someone hasn't been on for over 5 years or what ever. Would there be any possible way to get their gmertag?

    Original gamertag is inaccessible & GLITCHED due to a inactive spaced version

    Inactive spaced gamertags should be removed and released. They are inactive, 100 percent inactive place holding gamertags.

    Do you think Microsoft will clear out old unused gamertags?

    They actually do this but its not live gamertags as much as Microsoft accounts goes inactive for x period they will purge it

    If the gamertag comes up available when you attempt to purchase it then, yes you can.

    However, not all gamertags that are out there are being used for the Xbox Live service. Microsoft has many services (including internal ones) that use gamertags so if one is not available when try to purchase then odds are it may be used for another service.

    How to submit a ticket for requesting an inactive account gamertag to be reset?

    How do you know it's inactive? Gamertags are used on several Microsoft services,not just Xbox live,so there is no way to know if a gamertag is inactive or not.

    Just because a gamertag has low gamerscore of hasn't logged into Xbox live for a certain amount of time does not mean it's inactive.

    The article is admittedly old, but it is from after they released inactive Gamertags the first time.
